ARTIST BIO
Blake Harlow is a country singer-songwriter based out of Houston, Texas. A Texas native, having been born in the small city of Bastrop, Blake knew from an early age that he was destined to break out into the world of Texas country music. At the age of 7, during a family road trip that passed through Nashville, he got to tour the Grand Ole Opry. It was at that moment that he knew he wanted to one day headline on that very stage. From then on he began singing any and everything and joined choir as well as performed in many musicals in school.
In his early 20's, he picked up a guitar and taught himself to play covers of songs that he admired such as Garth Brooks and George Strait. After some encouragement from a close friend, he decided to follow in the very footsteps of those that had influenced him along his journey and began a new path as a songwriter. He has written songs from lave and heartbreak to having a good time with friends. He has songs for everyone to enjoy.
Around the same time, he started regularly attending open mic night at Puffabelly's in Old Town Spring, Tx. It was there that he honed his skills to begin to create a strong, engaging stage presence. At these open mics he finally began to grit his teeth and decided to let the world hear his real voice by playing his original, Days Like This. Since that performance he attended other open mics in the Houston area where he gained attention and started booking acoustic shows which would eventually grow into shows with a full band.
In the spring of 2017, Blake was approached by Jeff Huskins, a producer and former member of the band Little Texas. After some long talks, negotiating, and counsel from friends and family; Blake decided to fly to Nashville and take Jeff up on his offer to produce his first EP. He recorded 5 songs at Ronnie's Place at Soundstage Studios. Since then, he has cut 5 more songs in the same studio and has released a total of 8 singles, all of which have been well received and loved by the fans.
In February of 2018, he began forming a band. After many auditions, he finally found the group of talented musicians which fit his style and voice and they began rehearsing. Blake debuted his band at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cookoff. When they infused their different influences from an array of musical genres, they created an amazing show that can take you from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Blake and his band have opened for acts such as Uncle Kracker, Little Texas, Priscilla Block, Restless Road, Kat & Alex, and Mike Donnell. Whether you catch Blake at a solo show where you hear his acoustic rendition of his original songs or you get the pleasure of seeing him perform Purple Rain with the full band, you'll be mesmerized by the sound of his voice and his ability to get the crowd involved as he showcases his craft. Blake and his band can't wait to see you at a show soon!
